Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Linode is used to host a series of servers and databases for our SaaS products and customers' websites or e-commerces.

They are, naturally, of different sizes, depending on the need of each service or customer. However, independently of the node size, they are all very powerful and generous in the number of resources.

Pros

  • Excellent support
  • Proactive maintenance
  • Fair price
  • Reliable

Cons

  • Easy to install hosting panel (e.g HestiaCP) would be an exceptional improvement.
  • Linode has a fair pricing and an excellent support.
  • Linode is in the top 5 Virtual Private Server provider.
Although there is no account manager for the plans I use, the Linode team is very proactive, amazingly responsive, and supportive of all kinds of issues that I have ever had when using, setting up our managing my nodes over there.

They are proactive in so many different ways that I not only feel comfortable using their service, but I am happily recommending them to others.

At least 3 of my clients have adopter Linode after my recommendation.

It is suitable for any case where the person who would administrate it has a bare minimum understanding of managing and maintaining servers.

If you don't have such knowledge and cannot hire someone to help you with that, it might be better to find out another managed option. Linode also offers a managed account at a bit more expensive price.

Using Linode

2 - They represent the entire business! My company is very small, but we all use Linode because our internal tools and products are all hosted on one or more Linode instances.
1 - A single person is needed to support all the Linode instances we do use across our company, from the internal tools to the SaaS we provide.
  • Host the softwares we provide to our clients as a service
  • Host the internal tools we use
  • Store critical files for the business
  • Not really any unexpected way have been identified
  • Creating a VPN
  • Hosting emails servers
  • Hosting LLMs
