Overall Satisfaction with F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall)

F5 XC WAF can protect our web application without a very strong understanding of how to configure the WAF policy. F5 Distributed Cloud WAF provided a very good template policy that suited most web applications. Besides that, it has a very flexible deployment method to meet different environments.

  • Better GUI display that can fit in to browser.

With the f5 Distributed Cloud WAF, all the WAF policies can be centralized on-premises and in the cloud. With this technology, we do not need to worry about different vendors' policies and do not need more subject matter experts to monitor and operate different vendor WAFs. The configuration of the WAF policy is also easier compared to the other vendors.

For a small company that is just starting up and does not have many web applications running, it is a very good suite for them to implement their WAF in F5 Distributed Cloud WAF, where will help them to reduce the OPEX. However, if a large company does have a lot of websites they will need to reconsider the pricing tier that is charged by F5 Distributed Cloud WAF.
