Overall Satisfaction with Trello

We use Trello every two weels for sprint planning so we can see what each team members is committing to for the next two weeks. We also use chrome extension that connects to Trello for hours allocation so we put the time on each card and then it adds up the time at the top. Additionally, we use it annually when looking at priorities and events we want to do or not.

Pros

  • task management
  • prioritization
  • visibility for teams

Cons

  • you can't see all cards assigned to you in one place
  • the time tracking has to be an extension and sometimes fails to load
  • viewing in timeline view is not intuitive
  • streamlining task management and improving team communication, we've seen a reduction in project turnaround time
  • It has helped us cut down on unnecessary meetings, saving our team time
  • Helps us have a system for prioritizing what's import and what we should focus our time on
I rate Trello an 8/10 for usability because we have all found it to be quite intuitive and user friendly/easy to use, even for team members who aren’t tech-savvy. The drag-and-drop style, customizable boards, and visual layout simplify organizing tasks, tracking progress, and collaborating effectively but it does have some limitations for complex projects
Trello won becuase of the easy drag and drop feature that makes it simple for team members to jump on and use from day one. That said, Asans has way more features and for a tech-savvy person it would be the choice; it is still user-friendly. While it has a steeper learning curve, it offers more structure with multiple views (List, Timeline, Calendar, Kanban, etc.) that make complex projects easier to manage.

Do you think Trello delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Trello's feature set?

Yes

Did Trello live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Trello go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Trello again?

Yes

We really like it when you have a list of ideas for events, initiatives, programs, engagements and then you sort them into a plan for the year with the categories of "must do" "could do" "should do" and "won't do". We can assign team members and timelines to each card and then revisit on a quarterly basis to update and make sure we're saying "yes" to the right things.
