Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS)

We access Windows applications globally without a VPN by utilizing Parallels Client. After discovering that Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Web complicated the user experience, we decided to use Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) instead. After three years of use, we are really pleased with the products and have renewed the contract/license for an additional three years.

Pros

  • Remote Access
  • Web Access
  • File Transfer
  • Drag and Drop

Cons

  • Application User Interface
  • Support for Low Latency
  • Improve File Transfer /Drag and Drop on Low latency
  • Faster File Transfer
  • Improve User access Experience when compared to remote desktop web
  • Reduced IT Supports Requests as it can be accessible by browser
  • Reduced licensing cost when compared to citrix
End users may easily access it, and its deployment is simple. The support staff for Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) was excellent; they could help and offer user guides that aided with implementation and management.
In two weeks, we were able to put Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) into practice. We'd worked on three stages: 1. trial program involving consumers with extensive IT expertise 2. produced a user manual for non-IT users 3. sent user guides and Parallels login credentials to all users. Overall, we received good feedback, and users were able to log in quickly and with confidence.
