Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

We use Gusto for HR functions, such as onboarding, payroll, benefits, etc. Gusto makes all of the HR functions simple! I love how easy the onboarding process is: filling out the necessary information and completing a rapid and easy intro. Gusto also covers the benefits section. It's easy to use and noticeable!

Pros

  • Gusto really kills it on the simplicity. The app and website are very clear and straightforward.
  • Gusto also does a great job at being easy to navigate, visually pleasing, and logically posed.
  • Gusto communicates very clearly and provides just the right amount of communication.
  • Gusto makes the onboarding process very easy. I recently started at a new company and the process of filling out the necessary documents, filling out forms, and getting my benefit information input was soooooo easy!

Cons

  • I honestly don't have any complaints about Gusto as it stands.
  • Maybe add 2-factor authentication for security purposes. I haven't seen that being part of the login process yet.
  • I think Gusto pushes its easy Gusto card payroll method a bit too much. I'd like to see direct deposit as the main method it suggests and the Gusto card as a secondary one.
  • I am not involved enough to know well, but I would say that Gusto has saved me about 1-2 hours in my onboarding process with my new company compared to my past experiences trying to onboard with ADP. I have also finished the process and am not frustrated like usual.
Gusto is so clean-looking, absolutely simple, and super functional. It's very clear what you need to do and what is missing. There's no extra fluff to fill in the gaps; it just gives you exactly what you need to do, nothing extra or over the top. The menus and navigation are extremely clear and obvious.
Gusto is 100000% better than ADP. ADP is confusing, misleading, overly complicated, and not clear at all. Gusto just makes the whole process smooth as butter. Paycom is good, but Gusto seems much better. Paycom seems to have a lot of its own internal lingo and just doesn't make the process clear, but Gusto is just as clear as Crystal in everything that needs to be done.

From my personal experience thus far, I think Gusto is a fantastic tool for benefits, onboarding, and payroll. I started at a 15-20 person company about a week ago. My onboarding process was so easy. I was able to do everything from the app with no problems. Seamless. The website is also fully functional and easy to use. I'm electing benefits now and have never seen such an easy process. There's no fluff; it's just clean-looking and highly functional! Honestly, I have no complaints for me, except it took me a second to figure out how to elect for direct deposit when I was setting up my info. I'm super impressed.
