Overall Satisfaction with F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall)

We currently use the WAF as essentially our first line of defense for all of our web applications. It is absolutely a lifesaver and easy to configure and interpret. F5 Distributed Cloud WAF also allows a lot of flexibility in its rulesets and setup.

Pros

  • Easy to configure
  • Very readable for a firewall application
  • Very reliable

Cons

  • The F5 portal search could be better
  • Navigating to the application you need could be streamlined
  • AI Integration for rule setup
  • Improved security posture
  • Increased operational efficiency
  • Quick analysis
Other WAF tools can be obtuse to use and operate regularly, whereas F5 offers easy setup and use out of the box.

For very small orgs, F5 Distributed Cloud WAF might be overkill, but for medium to large it is a great product that is easy to integrate and operate.
