Overall Satisfaction with Control-M

Control-M is our enterprise scheduling for application and file transfer to internal and external customers that provides us a holistic solution for our job scheduling and and file transfer needs.

Pros

  • Schedule jobs
  • transfer multiple files of various sizes
  • Provide audit tracking

Cons

  • We have already submitted some ideas to the developers and BMC has already addressed some and working on the development of the last item.
  • Allow integration with ITSM tools
  • Reduction of manual work efforts
  • Increased productivity
  • Reduction of user errors
  • MFT reduced our file transfer connection issues from over 1,000 jobs failures a month to zero.
200 - Our users include the support teams across infrastructure to the application teams that own the jobs and the business users that require the jobs.
The user friendly GUI is one of the best features of Control-M

I have worked with other job schedulers and Control-M had led the market since its introduction. The user-friendly GUI not only provides ease of use for the users, but also for the support teams.
