Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
Browserstack resolved our mobile device problem. Instead of maintaining a device farm, we can now use multiple Browserstack mobile devices for our manual and automation testing needs. Testing on various Android and IOS devices and on different OS versions of these devices has now become easy and very economical because of Browserstack Products.
Pros
- Multiple products available for different testing needs
- Great customer support with quick response to tickets
- Their App Automate and App Live products are very useful for our mobile testing needs.
Cons
- I would appreciate if they increase their maximum session time limit. Their current session limit is around 2 hours and for some lengthy end to end use cases we have, that becomes a hurdle.
- Right now, the session recordings are unavailable after 30 days. I would appreciate if that availability is extended beyond that time frame.
- Would love to have information about their Dedicated Device Cloud service available on the Browserstack website similar to other plans.
- Would love to have an option for purchasing a plan that is more than 5 parallels, directly from the website instead of contacting sales team for that.
- Dashboard to keep track of the automated sessions we run.
- Detailed session logs of each session which makes debugging an easy task
- A very friendly and easy to navigate UI
- Provided a great alternative to investing in acquiring and maintaining a Mobile Device Farm.
Faced a lot of challenges while using real physical mobile devices and emulators for our manual and automation testing needs. Looking after the devices we use for testing like charging and updating them from time to time is in itself a very time consuming and unproductive process. We don't have to worry about problems like these anymore after opting to use Browserstack's App Automate and App Live products.

These products addressed our manual and automation testing needs. We could run our regression tests multiple times on multiple devices on different versions every sprint cycle after opting to these products. They fulfill our functionality testing needs very well and also because of multiple OS versions of devices being available, we could also work on compatibility testing seamlessly.
I found Browserstack's website very informative and their documentation much more detailed than the other products I tried to explore. Also one more aspect where Browserstack stood out for me for other similar vendors is that they provide a 100 minute free trial for any newly created account for their products like Automate and App Automate. This allowed me to explore these products in detail before hand and check whether it is compatible with my testing needs or not. I could do all this before involving my organisation's Finance team or Browserstack's Sales team.
