Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

The collaboration with SAP Business Technology Platform has revolutionized our analysis function. The simplistic features of the platform in concert with a robust processing capacity allow our team to construct complex models for driver assignment and demand estimation. Being integrated with our other SAP modules has also produced a harmonized environment, thus enhancing our selection system.

Pros

  • Enhanced asynchronous analytical processing accompanied by flexible ad hoc dashboards.
  • Solutions that comprise demand forecasting and suitable resources for the firms.
  • A simple architecture based on the cloud and designed to address the needs of data processing

Cons

  • The initial configuration of the system is best done under the guidance of technical experts and can take quite some time.
  • Advanced features in this tool require some levels of complexity in order to be mastered, for instance, for new users.
  • In terms of scale without considering the load at the most stressful time.
  • Increased resource allocation efficiency by means of demand prediction
  • Reduced report generation time to enable faster strategic decisions
  • Improved customer satisfaction levels, implementing services based on analyzing data
In continuous use and especially in routing, this platform has excellent values but can cause issues when, for example, we look for historical routes of several years for optimization.
I have not seen or used any of the use cases
In our case, before defining SAP Business Technology Platform, we first considered Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure Analytics. Although Oracle had solid DB integration and Azure impressed with BI in Power BI, integrating into our existing transport management systems was seamless with SAP BTP.
