LastPass for Business is a great password management platform
Overall Satisfaction with LastPass for Business
At our nonprofit organization, we use LastPass for Business for almost everything. It is a better alternative than having to remember passwords or write them down on post-it notes, especially as most of our staff has transitioned to currently working from home at the moment. It solves most of our information technology and cybersecurity issues.
Pros
- LastPass has a vault that saves and stores organizational wide credentials
- It saves time from having to ask a coworker for their login information
- It takes the stress out of worrying about internet security related threats
Cons
- It doesn't allow people to copy and save passwords from shared folders into a personal vault
- There should be a feature that allows more users to be admins with access to the console
- LastPass should only save work-related passwords when logged into G suite
- Too many folks use LP for Business for personal password protection
- It helps make the on-boarding and off-boarding process easier for HR/ops teams
- Little concern for employees changing logins
- Little to no worry about data breaches and other security issues
LastPass [for Business] is very similar to 1Password in terms of its scope, safety measures, and password management. If you have the funds, investing in LastPass for Business is very much worth it because of the on demand customer support, pre-recorded trainings and ease of use and implementation. If not, 1Password is basically a thrifty version of LastPass.
