Overall Satisfaction with Kemp LoadMaster

We use Kemp LoadMaster to load-balance two mail servers. Kemp software manages the virtual IP that clients point to.

Pros

  • Simple, reliable, no frills load-balancer.
  • Easy to set up and use.
  • Great technical support.

Cons

  • Menu choices could be a little less confusing.
  • I cannot think of anything I dislike about the product.
  • I haven't encountered any weaknesses.
  • Does the job of a much more expensive load-balancer.
  • Provides simple and reliable solutions for the task.
  • Doesn't require constant management.
Kemp LoadMaster does exactly the same and performs extremely well. Also, it's much easier to use and manage.

Additionally, it is perfectly suited for any application that requires high availability based on IP. Also, it doesn't require a hardware appliance, so it can be installed on a Windows Server VM.
