Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos Analytics with Watson

Earlier in my previous company we were using RPG AS400 for developing the business reports then we migrated our all projects to Cognos, developing all new reports and migrating old one using Cognos.
prior to that I don’t have any knowledge about Cognos so got in-house training.
I don’t found it very difficult to learn and adapt.
Actually its very easy to learn and we can get everything we want under one roof.

Its makes reporting and scheduling task much efficient as compared to using AS400 for creating reports
its a time saver and changes in at any point of time is best part.
its query studio is very simple and dynamic.
we got many adhoc and in built functionality as well here .
At the data base level we can configure row level security
Its a very cool feature that one can make multiple pages report and also drill down is absolutely a good feature.
it’s scheduling feature is the most favourite of mine.
many organisations have been migrating to IBM Cognos due to its economic friendly and the features I mentioned above.

Can get almost everything under one umbrella. With the help of frame work manager we can create database warehouse , schemas and many more.
Can create separate queries for each view.
we can do the report scheduling which is not available in other BI Tools and less expensive as compared to Tableau
