Overall Satisfaction with Druva Data Resiliency Cloud

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud assisted us and our customers in achieving offsite, immutable air-gapped backups, which were required for Cyber Insurance purposes.

Pros

  • Easy to setup

  • Reporting and alerting

Cons

  • I think reporting could be improved
  • Native Azure support
  • I believe the UI could be improved, although this is constantly being refreshed
  • It has reduced our support costs of managing backups. Virtually 0 support tickets
  • The PAYG model can deliver unpredictable results, depending on source types and dedup rates
  • In my experience, it is easy to setup, therefore our time to deliver has reduced dramatically
As the product is cloud based within AWS, scaleability is unlimited. The on-premise units of scale are predictable and allow administrators to scale up / down as needed. In my experience, the flexibility around these appliances, allow organisations to vertically or horizontally scale the environment with confidence and ease. Conversely, it is possible to set thresholds to ensure that organisations do not over commit and manage budgets effectively.
When evaluating Druva Data Resiliency Cloud, we compared it against several market leaders. After extensive testing, we confirmed that Druva Data Resiliency Cloud stacks up well against these products due to the following features:

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is an easy to use product that "just works'. To me it is a configure and forget suite of products. I think it is well suited for the protection of virtual workloads on VMWare, Hyper-V and AHV. In addition, to File servers and NAS appliances. In my opinion, it is not the best product for physical workloads, as image based backups are not supported.
