Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Web Services

We use Amazon Web Services as a IAAS and SAAS. We have applications which are deployed on amazon elastic container services and some services are hosted on lambda. We also use API gateways for generating the authentication tokens through the terraform technology. Our company is highly customer centric so Amazon Web Services helps us in many use cases such as storing the data of user in multiformat option, Which helps in processing the data efficiently. We used dynamo DB for such business cases.

Pros

  • Provide services at minimal cost. Pay for what you use.
  • Efficient interface and Navigation through different windows.
  • Faster than many of the other competitors when it comes to EC2 instances.
  • Inclusion of multiple features makes it more reliable.

Cons

  • Auto scaling can adjust the number of instances automatically
  • Setting trigger based metrices for utilization purpose
  • Logging in Cloud watch can be more readable.
  • Amazon Web Services has latency issues that can be taken care as an improvement
  • It has increased efficiency of our application by 72%
  • One of the application was experiencing timeouts on on-prem environment due to scaling issues. Amazon Web Services resolves it now by auto scaling.
  • We have optimized storage cost by 34% shifting from on prem db to cloud db.
Amazon Web Services is a great tool when it comes to middle size organizations like us. It provides multiple tools and functionalities in low costs. The best feature we have to pay as we go. No financial burden on company for the unused instances. It also comes with greater level of security such as two level authorization such as multi factor authorization.
Amazon Web Services is better among all of them due to its performance, stability, security and navigation. It effectively saves the cost and provides better facilities than the other competitors. It plays great role when it comes to user friendly interface. It also provided better enterprise support than the rest of the cloud providers.

Storage, creation of virtual machines, Load balancing, API Gateway where Amazon Web Services does the fantastic job. Performance, Cost Optimization, Logging where Amazon Web Services can make an improvement. Amazon Web Services provides auto scaling be it a horizontal auto scaling or vertical which enhances overall load balancing of an application giving less CPU utilization. Also it provides almost all types of data storages and using it is also easy so those are plus points in Amazon Web Services. Amazon Web Services gives Latency issues in many region over all the world so if you want good latency then we have to find our some other alternatives.
