It satisfies the needs of its target segment which is application developers and small teams working in startups. It simplifies configuration of cloud infrastructure. It is cost effective. It is easy to integrate and list as an Add On on DigitalOcean marketplace. It is easy to integrate as an OAuth application for seeking permission from user before using the credentials to perform necessary tasks for the user.

I love using it and I setup all on it, as well as I tip my friends to do it. If they are not capable I set it up for them. So I am very happy and it's definitely the way to go if you want something simple, and flexible, as well as with good pricing.

Infrastructure made it simple.

It is really simple to use (maybe too simple), the pricing is crystal-clear, the offer generally is really good, it is really easy to understand for a novice administrator, and it doesn't have any hidden costs when adding new services. I personally am really picky about how some products and services show to the end users, but DigitalOcean makes me think that I'm just weird.

They are really developer-oriented and that can be seen on their APIs design, documentation, community support, and tools.
Their dashboard is clean and easy to use, not overloaded with action buttons or other unnecessary elements.
The Marketplace is a great way to easily deploy a lot of products.
The community docs provide easy to follow step-by-step instructions for deploying almost anything without being an expert.

Super easy to use and incredibly affordable. Sail away with DigitalOcean and be the captain of your voyage!

I honestly can't think of an easier way to set up and maintain your own server. Being able to set up a server in minutes and have fully control is awesome. The UX is incredibly intuitive for first-time users as well so there's no reason to be intimidated when it comes to giving DigitalOcean a shot.
